The Difference Between Consuming and Creating

Image
Being a consumer is not as bad as people think, and creating is not always good either. The real problem is overdoing it.  Photographe by Adrian Swancar https://unsplash.com/@a_d_s_w Too much consumption can turn you into a mindless consumer. Being aware of what you consume is the best way to understand why you are consuming it. Ask yourself: Is it even worth it, or am I just wasting my time? Scrolling through reels, YouTube Shorts, or any kind of content can become addictive. The same is true for movies and games. They may entertain you, but sometimes they only fill your brain with unnecessary information that you will forget after some time. That kind of consumption usually doesn’t help you in your life. On the other hand, creating things can make you productive. It helps you grow and understand who you really are. But that doesn’t mean creating has no flaws. Like I said before, doing things mindlessly can always harm your life. The same applies to creating. If you ha...

learning while everyone else is scrolling

Being stuck in the trap of doom scrolling slowly turns you into a person you don’t want to be—the hero who does nothing. If you feel that what you’re doing is wrong, then you’re already on the right path: realization. Realizing that you’re wasting time is the first step toward change. Everything that wastes your time is unfavorable to your life and your goals.  Your life starts sticking to a screen that only shows you a sugar-coated world, not reality.Real life is built on what you like, what you want to become, and what you want to do. If you don’t know what to do yet, just explore. Try art, tech, or anything you find interesting. You can even start with popular hobbies. Learning skills is not just about earning money—it can make you happy, make you feel good, or even help you support someone else with the skill you learned in your free time. You should restart learning the thing you stopped last time because you found it boring. That boredom is still far better than scrolling wit...

Why We Can’t Focus Like We Used To

The world is changing rapidly and constantly growing. We are exposed to too much information, which distracts us in many ways. Constant notifications on our devices pull our attention away from study or work. Using too many apps, switching between them based on mood, and watching content mindlessly all add to the problem. We can’t really blame anyone for this change. The world will keep changing no matter what happens to you or me. What we need to understand is how to use technology in a way that makes our lives better while avoiding unnecessary distractions. The world has become very loud. We can get almost anything instantly, and this directly affects our attention span. We no longer feel the need to stay with one thing—if we don’t like it, we simply switch to something else. But constantly jumping from one thing to another doesn’t help us find what truly matters. Focusing is a natural human ability. It isn’t rare, and you’re not broken. You just need direction to focus on the things...

why humans make art to survive loneliness

Art exists because something inside humans refuses to stay silent. Nowadays, people are lonely not because they don’t have others around them, but because they lack a sense of identity within themselves. The fear of not finding who you truly are is far more terrifying than dying. That’s why humans create art. Art doesn’t mean making something that doesn’t exist; it’s always about experience and the expression of emotions. Things like poetry don’t help humans sustain life, but they help us live. They give us the ability to reflect our emotions on paper. Art is a part of our lives—it hurts us, and it heals us. You can find art in everything around you. Think about an animated movie you once watched. Ask yourself why that moving drawing affected you so deeply, why it stayed with you. It wasn’t just because of a great story or high-quality dialogue, but because it taught us emotions through non-living characters. That’s why art is wonderful. The human race has been creating art since the b...
